The most disgraceful handled the ball dismissal was Andrew Hilditch against Pakistan in 1979. Hilditch was at the non-strikers end, the ball trickled back down the pitch, Hilditch picked it up and passed it to the bowler (Sarfraz)who appealed and Hilditch was on his way. Yeah Goochie was out handled the ball against Australia in 1993. Michael Vaughan was out handled the ball against India a few years ago too.

Are you sure that wasn't against Australia? I thought Gooch patted the ball away off a Merv Hughes delivery in 1993. The ironic thing was, if I remember correctly, the ball wasn't heading for his stumps!
