Sure can. Quills is based around the Marquis de Sade whom is a writer of controversial material, mainly erotic. He is in an asylum in Charenton which is run by Abbe whom was befriended by the Marquis giving him writing supplies and more pleasant living quarters than the other inmates. He had his manuscripts smuggled out of his cell by the laundress Maddy. The Marquis' work was published and Napoleon wanted to see to it that he would be stopped and Dr. Royer-Collard is sent it to silence him.
