Description:
Interesting and wonderful are both adjectives ... but ... you can say: "this book is very interesting" and you can't say "this book is very wonderful". Why? Thanks to Redfrettchen for the suggestion. I cut the credits off today because it was going to be over 100MB. JackDanyells ::: Favorites Well, when some one says something this very unique "correctly" the concept they're talking about is already well represented by other words. They really mean rare, or unusual, so why not just say it's very rare? The concept of being one of a kind is only represented by unique, and now the word is becoming muddled. 07-01-30 13:34:18 _____________________________________________________
JackDanyells ::: Favorites Obviously I could have gone into a lot more depth, but I think that's the price you pay to make a video widely accessible on YouTube. 07-01-30 13:38:08 _____________________________________________________

MindAbstracted ::: Favorites I think the second definition of 'unique', is mis-defined at 3:24. I think that that is the definition of 'rare'. When some thing is unique, it means there can only be one, but if there is more then one, then it becomes rare. Then again, my english grades were not the best. :) 07-02-04 01:06:46 _____________________________________________________ |
