G25tide ::: Favorites No body cares about Miami's Thug era, or golden as you call it i guess, coaches. 07-08-22 01:41:26 _____________________________________________________
gymman1031 ::: Favorites RANKING THE COACHES THROUGHOUT MIAMI'S GOLDEN ERA: 1. JJ-hands down 2. Howard Schellenberger-got it all started-might have won more titles had he stayed put 3. Butch Davis-recruited the players for the 2000, 2001, & 2002 teams, which only lost 2 games 4. Larry Coker-had a great record with Butch's talent-still, didn't get the program into trouble 5. Dennis Erickson-had a great run mostly because of JJ's players-got the program into a mess at the end Do people agree with me? 07-08-07 01:19:52 _____________________________________________________

gymman1031 ::: Favorites I'll tell you one thing. I am not saying that all Miami people are dwelling on this game. However, a lot of them are. Everyone blames Larry Coker for the downfall of the program. Trust me, though. If those people had stopped dwelling on this game a long time ago, they would not be this far down. 07-07-21 09:30:38 _____________________________________________________
gymman1031 ::: Favorites If Miami had ended up winning, the refs would have stolen the game from Ohio State. With a few minutes left, the Ohio State wide receiver was called out-of-bounds on 3rd and 4 when he was so in-bounds. Had the correct call been made, Ohio State would just have had to run a few plays, take a knee, and the game would have been over in regulation. 07-07-21 09:22:53 _____________________________________________________
gymman1031 ::: Favorites Did you all know that, when Dennis Erickson resigned from Miami in 1995, Jim Tressel was like the top choice to replace him. In fact, the job was his if he had wanted it. However, IMHO, Jim figured he would stay at Youngstown until the Ohio State job opened up. 07-07-21 09:19:08 _____________________________________________________
gymman1031 ::: Favorites On that 3rd and 4 with a few minutes left, they called the Ohio State wide receiver out-of-bounds when he was so in-bounds it was disgusting. Had that call be made right, the Buckeyes would have just had to run a few plays and the game would have been over! 07-05-07 03:40:33 _____________________________________________________
gymman1031 ::: Favorites Something that is very sad is that Miami fans cannot come to realize that they owe the refs a lot for allowing them to get the ball back to kick the field goal with no time left in regulation! 07-05-07 03:38:26 _____________________________________________________
Hendrick2448Trolly ::: Favorites The problem is... No one seems to remember the holding by Miami on that 40 yard punt return by you guys. Had that been called, you would never have been in the position to score the TD that tied the game. 07-04-07 00:25:05 _____________________________________________________ |
