That really was special to have the vets with you. There are so few left.

I was just up in "Nine O Nine" on Saturday in Schenectady, NY. What a ride into a very heroic history. What made it even more special was that there were 2 veterans sitting with me during take-off and landing (we were back by the waist guns) who both served as part of the crew of a B-17 in WWII. I have the utmost respect for those guys. I'm Canadian and proud of our significant efforts in WWII but I gotta tip my hat to our big bro to the south!

Doh. Too busy using my camcorder on my babies back then. Maybe I'll dig up my airshow photos (I remember b-25 and P-3) and do slideshows, too busy uploading my current life to get to my past ones. Ur name sounds asian american, if so, cool.

I'd like to see videos of the P-3's flying over in the 80's, it would bring back memories.

For those not familiar with Moffett, note the giant dirigible hanger which housed flying aircraft carriers. (Is anybody going to post THOSE vids?) Smaller giant buildings housed blimps. Navy used to fly P3s until they moved up to Whidbey up here in WA, now it's NASA, it was cool to watch the U-2s tip up, up, up and vanish in minutes, and see the Blue Angles practice lunch time from Mountain View office parks.

They charged about the same in Seattle, my house was across the freeway, always wanted to see what it would be like to fly anything out of Moffett besides a fight sim. Check out my "downtown hanoi" video about the guys who flew Thuds downtown.

I find it amazing that anyone could have anything negative to say about this. Congrats on what is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I hope to be able to have some day. Thank you for posting.

Awesome! Video please! I'm glad you saw for yourself, not like wvyhitomit who likes to throw critiques without taking the ride himself.
