terrence2112 ::: Favorites I was just up in "Nine O Nine" on Saturday in Schenectady, NY. What a ride into a very heroic history. What made it even more special was that there were 2 veterans sitting with me during take-off and landing (we were back by the waist guns) who both served as part of the crew of a B-17 in WWII. I have the utmost respect for those guys. youarthurhu ::: Favorites For those not familiar with Moffett, note the giant dirigible hanger which housed flying aircraft carriers. (Is anybody going to post THOSE vids?) Smaller giant buildings housed blimps. Navy used to fly P3s until they moved up to Whidbey up here in WA, now it's NASA, it was cool to watch the U-2s tip up, up, up and vanish in minutes, and see the Blue Angles practice lunch time from Mountain View office parks. 07-06-06 21:25:21 __________________________________________________
