l345 ::: Favorites 2007-09-07 08:37:00 Geat job Mickey, I really enjoy watching. I find it interesting in the way you hold your bar. I have carpal tunnel in my left wrist from holding the bar wrong for so many years. B.E. told me to tuck my third finger under to block and it took me a year to develope the habit. Again, great job. Singlpilot ::: Favorites 2007-08-01 14:32:13 Id have to take a look at that Senmo...When I try to do it slowly i tend to lose my flow!..LOL...The blocking technique I use is mainly with my right hand. Occasionaly I will use my thumb involuntarily....youre WAY too perceptive!.....Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate your input as well....we all do things a little differently. Each steel player I hear, no matter how young or old has something to offer...thats the beauty of individuality isnt it? __________________________________________________ | |
senmo ::: Favorites 2007-08-01 12:18:58 Great teaching Mickey! Wow this will do me good when I get my new steel together. A comment and a question: It looks like you have adapted the Norm Hamlet pick blocking technique. He does the majority of the blocking with his thumb. Question: How do you block the first note? Maybe it is just going too fast for me, but it looks like you pick 10 and then go to 9 without blocking 10. __________________________________________________ |
