ajordanGSX ::: Favorites well, your mostly right, some diesels can benefit from a BOV, such as the Powerstroke 7.3, due to the design of the compressor wheel, it has very bad boost spikes....but not on a TDI golf lol 07-02-15 19:19:53 _____________________________________________________
Turbo617 ::: Favorites The 7.3 does not need a BOV because most of the surge happens at a partial load, not when you let off the accelerator. It needs an upgraded compressor wheel. People add a BOV to diesels because they *think* it sounds cool and makes it sound like a performance g@sser to other people. 07-02-15 22:00:43 _____________________________________________________
ajordanGSX ::: Favorites true, i have heard of people who put a BOV on there system thinking that it would cure this...well even i thought it would...but turns out it's just cheaper to go get a modified compressor wheel than to do all that for nothing. also my bad for not knowing where the PS 7.3 boost spikes were, i am personaly a cummins guy so i have never had to deal with that issue 07-02-17 15:25:43 _____________________________________________________ |
