Description: Numerous volunteers who work to keep hiking and nature trails safe and open gathered togeter with U. S. Forest Service employees and two excellent instructors to learn how to safely handle, transport, and use crosscut saws. This effort goes a long way towards developing the skills of the volunteers who continue to work within the Crystal Lake Recreation Area of the San Gabriel River Ranger District within the Angeles National Forest to reopen the campgrounds so that they are safe for visitors. |

A controlled fire being used to burn some of the accumulated growth in the area split that rock in half cleanly so someone though it would be amusing to pretend the saw had cut it. __________________________________________________ | |
